If you’re a new international student, scholar, or family arriving in Bloomington this August, we’d love to welcome you to one of our free Picnic at the Park events!
Whether you’ve just arrived or have been in town for a few days, this is a great opportunity to relax, enjoy a meal, meet other international students, and connect with friendly local volunteers who are excited to welcome you to the Bloomington community.
No matter where you’re from, you’re invited!

Location
Bryan Park (1020 S Woodlawn Ave) – Woodlawn Shelter
The picnic will be held at the Woodlawn Shelter in Bryan Park, just a short distance from the Indiana University campus. The park is also accessible by Bloomington Transit bus 7.

- Learn about life in Bloomington
- Ask questions about settling into your new home
This is a casual, family-friendly event designed to help you feel at home and begin building friendships from your very first week in Bloomington.
